BANGLADESH RAMADAN APPEAL 2017
After the success of last year, we at Little Feet Trust decided to do our Ramadan appeal again. This year was a greater success, as we were able to provide over two thousand family food packages to poor families in Bangladesh. These packages will last each family a minimum of 30 days. The packages were distributed in multiple districts in Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong.
The aim was to provide food to enable them to be able to break their fasts throughout the month of Ramadan with a decent meal. As with last year, all food was locally sourced in Bangladesh to benefit the nearby, poorer community and all donations subject to our 100% donations policy.
A great big thank you to all our volunteers, and to those who donated and sponsored the food packages.

All the food was locally sourced in Bangladesh to benefit the nearby, poorer community and all donations subject to our 100% donations policy.

We want to thank all those who volunteered, donated and sponsored the packages.
'Collection for Calais' Trip
Little Feet Trust went out to the 'Calais Jungle' to support the displacement of people mainly from war-torn countries such as Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan and Eritrea. Many are living in appalling conditions with lack of access to basic amenities. Aid agencies have largely been absent from the Calais camp, leaving volunteers to fill their place. The clearance of the southern half of the camp left families and children even more vulnerable.
See below a few pictures from our trip:
Thanks to some very generous donations we were able to donate 75 food packages (which feeds 3-4 people), mainly to the vulnerable women and families and the lone children. We supplied vital food stock to the local 'Kitchen in Calais' which provides 1000 hot meals and 500 snacks everyday at the camp. There were also many sleeping bags donated allocated to the people who need it most.
A big thank you to the staff and customers at South East CSU and the Co-Operative supermarket on Westminster Bridge Road, Waterloo for their donations.

Desirable - Experience in blogging, updating websites, carrying out research projects
The successful candidate would need to commit to set hours per week with regular updates to trustees. They must be open to feedback and criticism, although primarily working alone, may be required to work in a team.

If this sounds like you and you want to help this charity grow, please forward your CV and covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org
'The Hunger Trek'
In Bangladesh, 27.9million lack access to safe water, 74.8million do not have improved sanitation services and 7000+ under 5's die from unclean water and poor sanitation. The figures are shocking for such a basic everyday necessity.
A small group trekked through the coast of Dulwich while fasting, staying away from food and drink for 18+ hours, to get an understanding of what some of these people have to go through on a daily basis and to raise these funds in order to achieve the target and grant relief.

A Recent Trip to Bangladesh
Recently visited Bangladesh, the destination of our first aid projects. Here is just a snapshot of some the appalling conditions the poor are living in and the children we aim to help.
